Job Description- IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) Job SummaryThe IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) serves as the primary liaison between business units and the IT organization. The role is responsible for understanding business needs, aligning technology solutions with strategic objectives, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the effective delivery of IT services and projects that create business value.Key Responsibilities Business Partnership & Stakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders.Act as the primary point of contact between business functions and IT teams.Understand business strategies, priorities, and challenges to identify technology opportunities.Facilitate communication and collaboration between business and IT teams.Demand & Portfolio ManagementGather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements.Translate business needs into IT initiatives, projects, and service improvements.Manage the intake, assessment, and prioritization of technology demands.Support project portfolio planning and resource allocation activities.Strategic PlanningAlign IT capabilities and solutions with business goals and objectives.Contribute to IT strategy development and digital transformation initiatives.Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation.Develop technology roadmaps in partnership with business stakeholders.Service Delivery & GovernanceMonitor the performance and effectiveness of IT services delivered to business units.Ensure business expectations are met through effective service management practices.Participate in governance forums, steering committees, and project reviews.Escalate and help resolve service-related issues impacting business operations.Project & Change ManagementSupport the successful delivery of business-focused IT projects.Coordinate stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles.Facilitate change management and user adoption activities.Ensure business readiness for new systems, processes, and technologies.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.5 10 years of experience in IT, business analysis, project management, account management, or business relationship management.Strong understanding of business processes and IT service delivery.Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.Knowledge of project management and business analysis methodologies.Preferred Qualifications Master's degree (MBA or related field).Certifications such as:BRMP (Business Relationship Management Professional)ITIL FoundationPMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certificationsCBAP or Business Analysis certifications Key Skills & CompetenciesStakeholder and Relationship ManagementBusiness Analysis and Requirements GatheringStrategic Thinking and Business AcumenIT Service ManagementCommunication and Presentation SkillsNegotiation and Influencing SkillsProject and Change ManagementProblem Solving and Decision MakingConflict ResolutionCustomer-Focused Mindset
