Field Services Engineer/Technician - Packaging Equipment

Field Service Technician / EngineerOur client is a well-established and rapidly growing packaging manufacturer and distributor with a strong reputation for innovation, customer service, and industry-leading packaging solutions. The organization continues to invest heavily in expanding its product offerings, manufacturing capabilities, and proprietary technologies that provide customers with a competitive advantage in the marketplace.They are seeking an energetic, hands-on, and highly motivated Field Service Technician/Engineer in Eastern PA or New Jersey to support the continued growth of their packaging systems and automation business. This individual will play a key role in equipment installations, technical support, troubleshooting, and customer training throughout the assigned territory.Responsibilities:Perform installations of packaging equipment and systems at customer locationsAssist with equipment demonstrations both internally and at customer facilitiesPartner closely with Sales and Technical Support teams to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfactionFabricate and modify components for custom equipment installations as neededSupport semi-automated and fully automated packaging line integrations including conveyors and related equipmentProvide troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and after-sales support for packaging systemsTrain customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance proceduresRequired Background:5+ years of experience in a hands-on technical, maintenance, or field service roleExperience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting packaging equipment or automation systemsMechanical aptitude with fabrication skills including cutting, drilling, and modifying componentsWorking knowledge of PLCs, electronics, hydraulics, and basic equipment programmingStrong communication and customer service skillsComfortable working independently while managing multiple prioritiesExperience training customers or internal personnel on equipment operationValid driver’s license with a strong driving recordTravel:Limited overnight travel initially, with future travel expected approximately 1-2 times per month for short durationsOccasional weekend travel may be required on a limited basisPreferred Qualifications:Technical degree or related educationExperience with packaging automation, tape machines, or form fill & seal equipmentPrior experience supporting automated packaging systemsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization offering a strong culture, innovative product offerings, and the ability to make a direct impact in a high-visibility role within the Greater Philadelphia area.
