Product Category Manager - Food & Beverage

We are The Islander Group, Hawaii’s premier wholesale distribution company, and we are looking to hire a category manager for our Food and Beverage division. This position works closely with major national and local suppliers to support local and national retailers across Hawaii.Duties and Responsibilities:·        Developing, implementing, and selling food, beverage, and nutrition products to meet sales objectives.·        Collaborating with our product development, purchasing, retail sales/marketing, and operational teams to develop, procure, and deliver your products to market.·        Evaluating and improving your category distribution, market share, margins, and profit. ·        Developing and strengthening long-lasting business relationships with manufacturers and customers.What we're looking for in a Category Manager:·        Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, advertising, or any other business-related field.·        Excellent organization, prioritization, attention to detail & timeliness.·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze and evaluate marketing programs and pricing policies.·        Proficient with Microsoft 365, and other business applications necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports, presentations, and other materials.·        Hawaii Retail or Wholesale experience (not required).Company Overview:The Islander Group is Hawai’i’s premier manufacturer and distributor of gifts and general merchandise, servicing most major retailers throughout the state with over 1,000 retail customers in Hawai’i and the mainland.
