By shifting from animal-based protein to plant-based protein, we can positively impact four growing global issues: human health, climate change, constraints on natural resources and animal welfare.The National Account Manager (NAM) - Beverages is responsible for driving strategic growth of Beyond's plant-based beverage portfolio. This role will lead customer strategy, joint business planning, and execution to accelerate household penetration, expand distribution, and strengthen the Company's leadership in the plant-based category. This role is responsible for strategic leadership directing volume growth, sales execution, business management skills, P&L management, and return on investment for Customer(s).The NAM partners closely with territory customers and distributors to deliver category growth by leveraging consumer insights, sustainability positioning, and innovative product offerings while representing the brand with a high level of professionalism. This role is critical to expanding Beyond's presence beyond core protein into adjacent plant-based innovations like beverages, helping drive mainstream adoption and reshape the future of food. Starting in the New York Metro area, the NAM will work cross-functionally to strengthen DSD execution and will help expand Beyond's DSD network across the US.TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESDrive in market execution to build profitable volume through expanded distribution, effective merchandising, and best in class promotional activationLead, coach, and influence DSD distributor and bottler partners through route rides, crew drives, independent trade days, and local key account calls to improve execution quality and complianceSecure new outlet availability, shelf space, and positioning through strong distributor and retailer collaborationEducate and train distributor sales teams through regularly scheduled sales meetings and field engagementEnsure flawless execution of promotional activity at the store level, including displays, incremental placement, planogram compliance, and point of sale executionDevelop, track, and communicate key performance indicators to measure execution and performance against plansDevelop and execute strategic selling plans that deliver volume, profit, and ROI objectivesBuild strong customer relationships, deeply understand customer business models, and influence key decision makersTranslate consumer, customer, shopper, and competitive insights into actionable commercial strategiesIdentify whitespace opportunities across shelf stable and refrigerated beverage setsFlawless execution in new product launches, including health forward and functional beverage innovations and future Beyond adjacenciesPartner cross functionally to ensure excellence in brand execution and go to market initiativesProvide integrated insights to leadership to support customer strategy, portfolio management, and long-range business planningChampion Beyond Meat's mission of sustainability, health, and innovation by educating retail partners and supporting consumer adoption initiativesPerform other duties as necessarySupervisory Duties (if applicable): NAQUALIFICATIONSEducation, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:Preferred bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field8+ years of CPG sales experience, preferably in plant-based, beverages, or refrigerated/fresh categoriesDemonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to coach and influence distributor/field selling teamsDemonstrated experience partnering with DSD networks through route rides, crew drives, independent trade days, and in-market key account callsDemonstrated strength in in market execution across distribution expansion, merchandising, and promotional activation; strong attention to detail on displays, incremental placement, and planogram complianceDemonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and exhibit leadership within a large teamFamiliarity with retailer systemsPassion for sustainability, food innovation, and health-forward productsHighly customer focused with the ability to build and maintain strong relationshipsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for storytellingAbility to thrive and work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and dynamic environmentHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlinesDemonstrated ability to create and communicate execution scorecards and performance KPIs versus plan; proficient with reporting systems such as SPINS, IRI and AC NielsenProficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong analytical capabilities with Excel skills and proficiency using Smart Sheet is a plusKnowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategiesLOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThe preferred location for this position is within the New York Metro area, encompassing the NYC five boroughs, Long Island, Westchester/Putnam and Fairfield, CT. However, remote candidates who reside within 60 miles of a major airport will also be considered.The role requires frequent travel throughout the designated territory, as well as regular trips to the Corporate Headquarters located in El Segundo.**Annual salary commensurate with experience**The starting annual base pay for this role begins at $120,000/year (Remote) or $140,000/year (based in NY Metro Area or California). The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
