Program Manager – Defense Training & Simulation (Government Programs)Location: Oviedo FLSalary: approximately $90,000 annuallyIndustry: Defense Technology / Training & SimulationClearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance preferredAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Program Manager to support the execution of government programs focused on advanced human-motion and virtual reality training systems used by military and professional training organizations.This position works closely with a Senior Program Manager and supports multiple smaller government programs and subcontracts rather than managing a single large program. The role requires coordination across engineering, technical, and operational teams to ensure program objectives are achieved in accordance with contractual requirements, schedules, and budgets.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting government or Department of Defense (DoD) programs who is interested in working in a technical environment involving hardware, software, and integrated training systems.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram ExecutionSupport management and execution of multiple government programs and subcontractsTrack schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful contract performanceAssist with program budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting activitiesTechnical & Cross-Functional CoordinationCoordinate with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and technical teams to support program deliveryAssist with integration planning and program execution across multidisciplinary teamsMonitor program risks, issues, and dependencies and support mitigation planningCustomer & Contract SupportSupport communications with government customers and program stakeholdersAssist with preparation of program reviews, status reports, and contract deliverablesEnsure program activities comply with contractual and regulatory requirementsQualificationsRequired3–7 years of experience in program management, project management, or technical program coordinationExperience supporting U.S. government or Department of Defense (DoD) programs or contractsAbility to manage multiple concurrent program activitiesStrong organizational and communication skillsPreferredExperience working in technical environments involving engineering, hardware/software systems, or system integrationExperience supporting defense technology, training systems, simulation, or aerospace programsPMP certification a plus but not requiredMilitary experience a plus but not requiredEligibility for a U.S. security clearanceWhat You'll Work OnAdvanced virtual reality and motion-based training technologiesSystems used by military and professional training organizationsCollaborative programs involving engineering, hardware, and software integration
