The Applications Engineer serves as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams. This role is responsible for reviewing customer requirements, developing product concepts, and developing accurate quotes in a high-mix, high-variety metal fabrication environment.Responsibilities:Develop concepts, layouts, and preliminary designs for custom aluminum case solutionsPrepare detailed cost estimates and quotes for custom productsReview customer requirements to develop practical product solutionsSupport quoting and estimating efforts and concept costingInterpret and analyze blueprints, CAD models, and technical documentationWork closely with engineering, production, and estimating teams to ensure manufacturabilityUtilize ERP systems to support quotingProvide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through productionCommunicate effectively with customers to clarify requirements and present solutionsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferredExperience in manufacturing, applications engineering, or design engineeringAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsProficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD softwareUnderstanding of metal fabrication or manufacturing processes preferredExperience working with an ERP systemStrong Excel skills and comfort working with technical dataExcellent communication and customer-facing skillsHigh attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to thrive in a high-mix, high-variety production environmentJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance
