Job - Scheduler IWork Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite M/T/Th)Reporting Locations: Saginaw, Grand Rapids, Jackson, or Lansing Service Centers Employment Type: Contract (Long-term with potential for extension)Position OverviewThe Resource Scheduler I is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and supporting daily operational work within the Electric Underground Distribution and related business units. This role ensures efficient resource planning, accurate scheduling, and seamless coordination with internal teams and third-party stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute daily and short-term work schedules for assigned operations.Coordinate workforce, resources, and third-party activities with high accuracy.Organize and dispatch work assignments in alignment with operational priorities.Collaborate with Operations leaders, field teams, and support groups.Facilitate meetings, planning discussions, and scheduling reviewsMonitor work progress, volumes, and performance through system toolsCreate, update, and manage work orders, requests, and scheduling dataAnalyze data and adjust schedules to meet changing business needsHandle urgent and emergent work situations, including escalationsEnsure adherence to company processes, procedures, and scheduling standardsBuild and maintain strong working relationships across teamsRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to work effectively in fast-paced and urgent situationsCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyTechnical SkillsProficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Experience with SAP or similar work management systems (preferred)Ability to analyze and interpret operational dataQualificationsHigh School Diploma requiredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Management or related field preferred1+ years of experience in scheduling, customer service, or technical operations preferredAdditional InformationSupports Electric Underground Scheduling and related operations.May involve coordination across multiple service centers.Requires flexibility to adapt to business and operational demands.
