Job Summary: We are seeking a versatile Welding Manager with a solid background in a variety of welding techniques and procedures. Our fabrication division consists of a small group of highly skilled individuals who place a high value on quality. A successful candidate will be able to manage a team, be a team player, be willing to learn, and bring experience to the team that will enhance the performance. As one of the largest job shops in the Pacific Northwest, we work on a wide range of projects requiring our employees to develop creative solutions on a daily basis in order to complete the project successfully. Duties: · Head the welding department overseeing welders and all welding needs. · Plan and execute various projects related to welding, quality assurance, safety protocols, and structural planning. · Maintain and enhance functionality of welding equipment including automatic welding machines, manual welders, power supplies, and other manufacturing related tools. · Communicate and hold meetings for all management about welding issues and updates. · Create, organize, and maintain a welding inventory. · Manage day to day operations, laborers and welders. Qualifications and Skills: · 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing job shop environment. · Proficient in SolidWorks, Weld drawings, Blueprints and MS Office. · Bachelor’s degree in welding would be an added advantage. · Soldering Certification would be an added advantage. · Create weldment drawings that include step-by-step instructions for employees. · Knowledge of metal alloys and welding processes. · Experience in rigging and lifting practices and devices. · Press brake experience. · TIG and MIG welding skills in a variety of materials (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium). · Experience with AWS, ASME or other welding specifications. · The ability to lead by example with regards to quality and workmanship. As a Welding Manager, you will be expected to bring creative ideas to the table on a daily basis, to solve and manage complex welding and machine challenges.
