Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Technician to lead the deployment, administration, and optimization of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. This role is responsible for designing, configuring, tuning, and supporting a pilot AVD deployment while ensuring high levels of performance, security, scalability, and end-user experience. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on cloud professional who can work independently, troubleshoot complex infrastructure challenges, and provide guidance on best practices for cloud-based virtual desktop solutions. This position may also support AWS-based archival storage initiatives and other cloud infrastructure projects as needed.Required Skills & Experience5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), or related technologies.Strong expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop architecture, deployment, automation, and ongoing administration.In-depth knowledge of Azure networking, identity and access management, security, monitoring, and storage services.Experience with PowerShell, ARM templates, Bicep, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain cloud-based desktop environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience with AWS storage services, including S3 and Glacier.Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.Exposure to Milestone VMS or similar video management systems.Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage projects independently and collaborate across technical teams.This is an excellent opportunity for a cloud professional who enjoys building and optimizing modern virtual desktop environments while working with cutting-edge Azure and cloud technologies.
