Job Summary MVS DB2 - Developer (Contract) – Madison, WI. Duration: 12 Months. Responsibilities Interview Process: Interviews will be conducted IN PERSON. Only submit candidates who can come onsite in Madison for an interview. PLEASE NOTE: A real‐time screenshot photo of the candidate MUST be uploaded to the interview page in order to accept an interview request. Duration of the Contract: 6/30/2027 with potential for extension. Participate in advanced DB architecture work for various Unemployment Insurance systems. Recommend and maintain data management policy; provide expert technical leadership to the applications development and technical staff. Plan, test, install and update software; advise application development staff on the use of database software, database designs and data models. Available for evening/weekend on‐call duties. Work onsite at DWD Madison WI headquarters GEF-1 location at DWD's request, including consecutive weekdays or extended periods, without reimbursement for travel, lodging, or parking expenses. Qualifications 8+ years in DB2/CICS environments or equivalent. Strong hands‐on DBA experience with large systems (1000+ programs, 300+ tables). Experience with Platinum, ERWin, Omegamon, ChangeMan, CNTL‐M or similar tools. Significant IT related knowledge. No relocation is allowed. DWD is currently allowing remote work from within the state of Wisconsin. The contractor must be available online, be present to meet all workload requirements, and must attend all scheduled meetings during DWD standard working hours of 7.45 am – 4.30 pm Central Time.
