Sabert will not commence an employment-based immigration case to fill this open position The Production Associate is responsible for packing and monitoring of quality finished product. The Production Associate will also be responsible for inspecting, labeling, sealing, and stacking boxes on skids in preparation for product to be shipped. Other responsibilities include adhering to BRC, GMP and Safety policies. The Productions Associate will also coordinate with the machine operator & material handler to ensure production operations and requirements are met. Duties & Responsibilities Production Responsible for inspecting and packing quality parts into boxes on his/her assigned lines. Accurately counting parts to ensure that customers get a consistent, quality product. Bagging counted parts and placing into correct box on the assigned production line. Assure that each box is properly sealed to minimize the potential for damage. Verify proper date codes and labels are on all boxes being put on the skids. Keep pace with the speed of the machine and not allow packable parts to fall in the scrap bin or deliberately scrap packable parts. Keep up on housekeeping when machine is down and as time permits. Assist Machine Operator when needed. Stay around at the end of the shift until the area is completely clean and ready for the oncoming shift. Have a minimum of 2 hours’ worth of boxes, bags, and labels ready for the oncoming shift. These are to be in the packer’s staging area. Sanitize work area every shift Any other duties as assigned by the Leads, or Management. Safety and Cleanliness • Maintains a clean and safe work area and reports unsafe conditions to the Operator and/or supervisor for resolution. • Maintains good housekeeping and makes sure the packing area is kept clean, at all times. • Adheres to safety policy. • Must wear all safety gear at all times. • Must wear hairnet/hat and gloves if handling finished product. • Must wear company issue hard hat when cleaning inside of trim press and thermal former. Quality • Meets or exceed minimum standards for quality packaged Finished Goods. • Able to identify quality defects and report immediately to the Operator or Supervisor. Miscellaneous • Other related job duties as assigned Physical Demands Standing (85% of the day) Lifting (no more than 40 lbs.) Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable Required Skills and Qualifications: • Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is usually needed. • Equivalent experience or experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment • Ability to use RF scanner for WMS transactions as required for position. Ability to use material handling devices such as a hoist and a pneumatic lift assist handling device as required for position (Training available). Must be able to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, internal quality procedures, and machine operating procedures. Excellent communication skills, must have the ability to communicate production issues to supervisors and others in work area. Basic mathematics (i.e., counting).
