Python developer with AWS

Overview As a Python developer with AWS expertise, you will build and automate data security solutions in AWS to support data defense, classification, and tagging of cloud assets. You will work on backend APIs, automation scripts, and PoCs that demonstrate data security initiatives, collaborating with clients to translate requirements into robust code. This role emphasizes hands-on development, CI/CD, and contributing to data privacy and governance efforts at scale. You will operate in a cross-functional setting, shaping secure cloud data workflows and reporting on outcomes. ResponsibilitiesBuild Python applications, APIs and automation scripts on AWS to support data defense initiatives like classification and tagging of cloud data assetsCreate automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning on AWSDevelop PoCs for data security and classification initiativesMaintain third-party solutions for data defense and DLP initiativesTranslate specifications into code for complex new or enhanced projects for internal clientsWrite programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports with automated test supportParticipate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycleExplain technical considerations in meetings with internal clientsPerform systems analysis activities Key requirementsPython development with boto3 (5+ years)AWS experience (S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, etc.) (5+ years)Strong backend/API development experience (5–8 years)Hands-on AWS services experience including S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Glue catalog, CloudFormation, IAM, SNS, tagsExperience maintaining third-party or custom solutions on AWSExperience with CI/CD toolsExperience with DLP tools or data classification (a plus)Experience in Data Privacy / Governance (a plus)Experience with EKS/containers (a plus)Strong communication skillsStrong communicationCross-functional collaborationProblem-solving mindsetPythonBoto3AWS services: S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Glue Catalog, CloudFormation, IAM, SNS
