AWS Python Developer

Overview As an AWS Python Developer, you will build Python-based applications, APIs, and automation scripts to support data defense initiatives in cloud environments. You’ll work on AWS-driven infrastructure provisioning, data security proofs of concept, and integrating third-party solutions for DLP and governance. You’ll translate technical requirements into scalable code and participate in design, code, and test reviews across the project life cycle. This role combines backend/API development with cloud automation to safeguard cloud data assets. ResponsibilitiesBuild Python applications, APIs and automation scripts on AWS environments to support data defense initiatives like classification and tagging of cloud data assetsDevelop automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning on AWS cloud environmentCreate proofs of concept for data security and classification initiativesMaintain third-party solutions to support data defense and DLP initiativesTranslate technical specifications into code for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clientsWrite programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reportsApply software development techniques to ensure tests support automationParticipate in design, code, and test inspections to identify issuesExplain technical considerations in meetings with internal clientsPerform systems analysis activities Key requirementsPython development (including boto3) - 5+ yearsAWS – (s3, lambda, CloudFormation, DynamoDB etc., ) - 5+ yearsStrong 5 – 8 years' experience in AWS solutioning and backend/API developmentStrong AWS services experience including s3, lambda, DynamoDB, Glue catalog, CloudFormation, IAM, SNS, tags etc.Strong hands-on development experience in Python and Boto3 libraryExperience in maintaining third party or custom build solutions on AWS infrastructureStrong experience with CICD toolsExperience with DLP tools and or Data classification efforts is a great plusExperience in Data Privacy /Governance is a plusExperience with EKS/containers is a plusStrong communication skillsStrong communication skillsPythonboto3AWS services (S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Glue catalog, CloudFormation, IAM, SNS)DLP toolsData classification
