Machine OperatorsThe Machine Operator loads and unloads CNC machines with small metal components, performs detailed visual and dimensional inspections, and ensures parts meet quality standards in a clean, fast-paced production environment. This role focuses on efficient, accurate machine tending rather than machine setup and requires attention to detail, steady hands, and comfort working with small parts for extended periods while standing.ResponsibilitiesLoad CNC machines with metal rods and small metal parts that may be drilled, bent, or cut according to production requirements.Unload completed parts from the CNC machine once the cycle is finished.Perform visual inspections of finished parts, including using a microscope to verify quality and detect defects.Measure parts with tape measures, calipers, and other basic measuring tools to ensure they meet specified tolerances.Handle small parts carefully and consistently in a fast-paced production environment.Follow established procedures for operating CNC machines that are already fully set up by others.Maintain a clean and organized work area in both clean room and non-clean room environments.Adhere to all safety and cleanliness protocols, including proper use of required personal protective equipment.Monitor machine operation and promptly report any issues or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.Support production goals by working efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of machine operation experience that involves more than simple button pushing.Hands-on experience operating production machinery, including loading and unloading parts.Basic CNC machine operation experience.Ability to perform visual inspection of small parts with precision and accuracy.Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to verify part dimensions.Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with smaller components.Ability to stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience using a microscope for detailed inspection of small parts is preferred.Previous experience working in a clean room or similarly controlled environment is beneficial.Familiarity with CNC production processes and basic quality control practices.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.Strong work ethic and reliability in meeting production schedules.Why Work Here?You will join a stable team with strong morale and long employee tenure, reflecting a supportive and collaborative culture. In the clean room, you will wear a lab coat, hair net, safety glasses, and mask as part of the standard dress code and safety requirements. The facility is designed to support precise manufacturing and consistent quality, with an emphasis on cleanliness, organization, and safety.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwood Young America, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
