SMT Manufacturing Supervisor (Hands‐On)Direct Hire | First ShiftElectronics Manufacturing | On‐SiteWe're seeking an experienced Surface Mount Manufacturing Supervisor / Manager to lead hands‐on SMT production operations in a fast‐paced electronics manufacturing environment. This is a direct‐hire, first‐shift opportunity for a leader who knows SMT from the ground up and enjoys being on the floor, supporting teams, equipment, and quality.This role is ideal for someone who has personally overseen SMT lines, understands soldering and process control, and can balance leadership with technical involvement.What You'll Be DoingOversee daily SMT production operations, including:Screen printingPick‐and‐placeReflowAOI / SPILead and support hands‐on SMT technicians and operatorsEnsure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently metMonitor line performance, throughput, downtime, and yieldCoordinate job changeovers, line setups, and staffingCoach, train, and develop SMT operators and techniciansManage staffing levels, timecards, and overtimeConduct performance reviews and address employee relations matters as neededEnsure compliance with IPC standards (IPC‐A‐610, J‐STD‐001)Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve defects and drive yield improvementsLead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CAPA)Monitor solder paste quality, placement accuracy, and reflow profilesOversee SMT equipment operation, maintenance coordination, and calibrationsEscalate and support troubleshooting of equipment and process issuesPromote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement on the production floorWhat We're Looking ForProven experience overseeing SMT production lines (required)Hands‐on soldering experience and strong understanding of SMT processes3–7+ years of experience in SMT / PCB electronics manufacturing1–3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role (preferred)Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experienceAbility to read and understand PCB drawings, BOMs, and work instructionsWorking knowledge of reflow profiling and stencil designExperience with MES and/or ERP systemsStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skillsComfortable being on the production floor and supporting the team dailyWhy This OpportunityDirect‐hire, first‐shift roleStable, growing electronics manufacturing environmentHigh‐impact leadership position with hands‐on involvementOpportunity to drive real improvements in quality, yield, and efficiencyCompetitive compensation and benefitsIf you're a true SMT leader who understands the process, has soldering experience, and wants to lead from the floor—not behind a desk—we'd love to talk.
