Java Software Engineer TechniPros Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Day 1 Onsite, Hybrid 3 days/week) Type: W2 Contract (No C2C) About TechniPros OpenKyber is a leading IT staffing and solutions provider connecting top talent with innovative opportunities in the technology sector. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and provide production support for Java microservices using the latest Java and Spring Boot technology stacks Build and maintain event-driven systems using Apache Kafka Develop and integrate solutions using MongoDB Deploy and operate applications on OpenShift (Red Hat), Kubernetes, and Docker Implement and enforce secure coding and compliance standards Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines Troubleshoot UAT and Production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes Clearly communicate issues, impact, root cause, and resolution during technical discussions and incident calls Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and collaborate across teams Mentor junior engineers and contribute to overall engineering excellence Required Qualifications & Experience 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices 2+ years of experience with MongoDB and Apache Kafka 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, and preferably OpenShift Proven experience supporting UAT and Production systems Strong ability to pinpoint issues and explain technical solutions clearly in meetings Excellent verbal communication skills in high-pressure, production environments Experience with secure coding practices in enterprise or regulated systems Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines Experience working in Agile Scrum environments AI-assisted development and testing experience (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) preferred Core Technical Skills Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Apache Kafka, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, CI/CD, Agile Scrum Ready to Apply?
