Staff Accountant

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to support financial operations in Fairfield, Ohio. This contract position requires expertise in reconciling high-volume bank statements and proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel. The role is expected to last 4-6 weeks and will be performed onsite.Responsibilities:- Perform detailed bank reconciliations for statements containing thousands of transactions.- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes with accuracy and timeliness.- Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure compliance with accounting standards.- Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting.- Utilize QuickBooks Online for efficient bookkeeping and transaction management.- Analyze financial data through data mining techniques to identify trends and discrepancies.- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless overlap and knowledge transfer during the contract period.- Conduct audits of financial records to validate accuracy and completeness.- Generate reports and summaries to support decision-making and compliance.Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and detail.- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.- In-depth knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.- Demonstrated ability to perform complex bank reconciliations.- Experience preparing and posting journal entries.- Familiarity with audit procedures and data mining techniques.- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
