Set machines to perform all welding operations, including stick welding and wire feed welding. Set equipment to perform all cutting operations.DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)Perform all welding and related maintenance for all areas.Lay out and arrange parts.Set machines to perform all welding operations, including stick welding and wire feed welding.Set equipment to perform all cutting operations.Operate a motor vehicle.Enforce safety rules and regulations (Federal, state, local and company policies.)Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsAs a Welder you will have:Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one required.CDL desirable.Must have own hand tools.Basic knowledge of hand tools, drill presses, grinders, saws, related fabricating, maintenance and safety equipment.Typical hours are M-F 7am-5:30pm. Some Saturdays may be required during the busy season depending on workload.Because of the nature of work at Knife River, the person in this position may be expected to work any shift and at various locations based on company needs and the duties of the position may change at any time and may not be identified in this job description.
