Plating Operator
Job TitleUnder general supervision manually submerges panels and/or operates repetitive plating and wet process machines to electroplate/tinplate circuits onto panels.ResponsibilitiesManually perform or operate machines requiring standard setups, constant monitoring and periodic adjustments in speed, temperature and/or chemical levels.Check levels of chemical baths and may perform additions as directed on assigned processes.Perform manual operations including machine loading.Operate repetitive plating and wet process machines to plate circuits onto planes, e.g., deposition process.Monitor machine and perform limited preventive maintenance, cleaning screens and makeup/adding chemistry under Lab direction.Comprehend industry standards, customer specifications, designated reference materials and their appropriate application.Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with management/supervisory staff Work independently with minimal supervision.Work under pressure with time constraints.Operate all Manual Plating processes and supporting equipment with little supervisionEffectively follow company systems and procedures.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Required SkillsGeneral ability to speak, read and write English fluently.Strong attention to detail.Problem solving ability.Preferred SkillsExperience in printed circuit board (PCB) industry will be preferred.Understanding of industry standards and appropriate applicationPhysical RequirementsMust be able to sit and/or stand for long period of time.Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis.Working Hours1st shift: 7:30am 3:30pm2nd shift: 3:30pm 11:30pmCompensation/BenefitsSummit offers a variety of health and benefit programs which include Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA plans, Hospital and Accident plans, Life Insurance, PTO, and Paid Holidays.
