Blast Operator - Weekend Shift

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly. Shift Schedule Friday - Sunday, 6:00AM - 6:30PM, 36 hours, paid for 40 Summary: The blast position will use high pressure equipment to clean and prepare parts for processing. Responsibilities: Determine priority of jobs to begin preparing for processing Select appropriate media according to specifications and customer requirements Complete paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines Ensure proper PPE is worn and safety guidelines are followed Maintain a clean working area at all times by disposing of any unnecessary trash Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Prior manufacturing experience preferred. Export Compliance Requirement This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies.
