Fund Controller - Private Equity

The Controller owns the full fund accounting function for a diversified investment portfolio, serving as the primary point of contact for external administrators, auditors, and counterparties. This person will drive reporting improvements and data infrastructure initiatives while managing and developing a small, high-performing team.Responsibilities:Manage the year-end audit process end-to-end with auditors and the fund administratorReview fund tax returns and K-1sCalculate management fees and incentive feesNAV calculation, preparation and review across Master and Feeder Fund structuresCompliance support and regulatory reportingDaily counterparty interaction to resolve breaks and account discrepanciesRecording and reconciliation of remittances, deal provisions, financing costs and fund expensesSystems and reporting implementation projectsData analytics, reconciliations, and maintaining the internal databaseQualifications:8-12 years of fund accounting experience, with direct exposure to alternative investment fundsProven ability to manage and review the work of junior staffCPA preferred, Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance requiredStrong working knowledge of fund structures including Master/Feeder vehiclesDeep familiarity with US-based fund administratorsSelf-directed, precise, and comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving environmentAdvanced Excel skills
