BAS Field Engineer
Perform point-to-point checkout and verification of all equipment on assigned projectsComplete detailed checkout documentation, including all physical points and equipment locationsVerify hardware installation in accordance with project specifications and guidelinesIdentify and document offsets, calibrations, issues, and system failuresTroubleshoot and resolve issues with field devices, controllers, and system componentsEscalate issues outside of scope via service tickets or to supervisors/technical supportCommunicate daily with Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Supervisors on project statusMaintain accurate daily logs of completed work and system checkout progressDocument equipment tested, issues encountered, and resolutionsRecord any job site challenges, including coordination issues with other tradesEnsure all documentation is clear, complete, and submitted consistentlyReview and understand project scope, drawings, and specificationsInterpret submittals, mechanical plans, and control schematicsTrack assigned hours and maintain productivity within project budgetsIdentify potential change orders and communicate findings to leadershipArrive on time and prepared for all job site assignments and meetingsMaintain professional appearance and conduct at all timesFollow company vehicle policies and maintain assigned equipmentRespond to calls and emails within 4 business hoursAdhere to all company and job site safety protocolsQualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HVAC Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)3+ years of experience in building automation, controls, or field engineering preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with BAS platforms such as: Johnson Controls, Automated Logic, Honeywell, Siemens Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsComfortable working in active job site environmentsWillingness to travel locally
