Production Control Planner - (1st Shift)

DescriptionSUMMARY: Liaison to material and part suppliers. Orders inbound materials andproduct to ensure constant flow to production area.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties assigned. Create Purchase Orders using systematic inventory data to maintain inventory levelswhile providing no interruptions to the production departments. Ensures a steady flow of all materials to keep a manufacturing line operating, whilealso maintaining adequate supplies without overbuying or wasting resources. Excellent communication skills with supplier network. Must be able to do their own research and inventorying of materials, as well as workwith colleagues in other departments. Understands how to conduct and analyze root cause analysis and problemresolution for all supply chain related issues. Work with Logistics companies for on-time deliveries. Interfaces within the operations team to ensure coordination of production. Track, analyze and communicate key performance metrics to your manager. Support and participate continuous improvement programs for Health, Safety andEnvironmental. Data base systems experience also preferred. Basic Knowledge ofMRP system.Language SkillsAbility to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability toeffectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,clients, customers and the general public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as: probability and statistical inference,and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions topractical situations.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstractvariables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
