In this role, you will work closely with the Accounting department to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the companys compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.ResponsibilitiesChecks figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematicalaccuracy, and proper codes.Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile andkeep financial records.Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.Compiles statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables of cashreceipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.Reconciles or notes and reports discrepancies found in records.Enter financial data and transactionsVerify the accuracy of transactions that have been enteredProcess accounts payable and accounts receivableComplete required tax forms*The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.QualificationsBachelors degree in accounting or a related field or previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar positionKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systemsStrong mathematical and analytical skillsExcellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
