Job description:Accounting SpecialistLocation: Irvine, CAOverview: Our dynamic and rapidly growing cannabis business in California is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cannabis Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, Excel or Sheets, Sage, payment processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoice correction, and credit application. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a thriving cannabis enterprise in a rapidly evolving industry.Responsibilities:Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using industry-standard bookkeeping practices. Track and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Sage Management: Utilize Excel, and Sage to manage financial data, generate reports, and facilitate streamlined accounting processes. Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and reports.Payment Processing: Process payments accurately and in a timely manner.Verify payment information and resolve any discrepancies.Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections. Reconcile accounts receivable and address any outstanding issues.Invoice Correction: Identify and rectify errors in invoices, working collaboratively with relevant teams to ensure accuracy. Maintain a systematic approach to invoice correction to minimize discrepancies.Credit Application: Evaluate and apply credits to customer accounts as appropriate.Collaborate with stakeholders to address credit-related inquiries.mytrace ERP System: Learn and become proficient in the use of the custom-built ERP system.
