2025-2026 Speech Language Pathologist

Speech-Language PathologistProvide speech and language therapy services for students with disabilities. Hold an active, valid license in speech-language pathology issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP). Knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art assistive technology related to communication. Demonstrate work history of willingness to work with all students. Indicate high moral standards and integrity.Assess, diagnose and teach students with communicative disorders including articulation, language, fluency voice and hearing impairments. Utilize good organizational skills. Coordinate home intervention services and consultative intervention for students and parents. Utilize effective oral and written communication skills. Manage varied caseloads within an itinerate position to provide consultative and direct services to students with disabilities. Participate in ongoing staff development, to interact effectively with colleagues and administrators for the implementation of inclusive services for identified students as appropriate. Perform state-of-the-art assistive technology related to communication. Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Accountability and Instructional Services and building administrators.Reports to: Director of Accountability and Instructional Services. Terms of employment: 200 days a year. Salary according to the School Board Pay Plan. Evaluation: Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of licensed personnel.
