Associate Veterinarian

We’re seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a mission-driven, nonprofit practice in St. Louis, Missouri. This role offers the chance to work with supportive leadership in a clinic that genuinely values work-life balance, collaboration, and quality patient care over production pressure. The clinic is open Monday through Saturday, with doctors typically working one Saturday per month and receiving a weekday off. Flexible scheduling is available with either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts. A dedicated call center handles appointment scheduling and routes medical questions to doctors through a task system, allowing you to respond as time permits. Emergencies late in the day are usually referred to local emergency clinics. Doctors typically perform surgery one day per week, primarily spaying and neutering procedures for shelter animals, with opportunities for additional surgeries. Veterinarians who prefer limited or no surgery, as well as those seeking a surgery-focused role, are welcome. The clinic is supported by centralized departments without a corporate feel, creating a balance between structure and autonomy while keeping patient care first. This position offers a starting base salary of $130,000 with a strong productivity bonus, along with relocation assistance.
