This role involves a combination of application support, maintenance, defect resolution, and new feature development in a mission-critical system supporting actuarial operations.The ideal candidate will be a hands-on developer with strong experience in enterprise application support environments, capable of working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.Key Responsibilities:Application Support & MaintenanceMonitor system performance, availability, and data integrityTroubleshoot and resolve defects, errors, and user issuesApply patches, updates, and security fixesSupport data imports, exports, and backupsDevelopment & EnhancementsAnalyze business requirements and propose design solutionsDevelop, test, and deploy enhancements, reports, and interfacesEnsure high-quality code with proper QA/testing practicesSupport CI/CD pipelines and code repositoriesCollaboration & CommunicationWork with actuaries, business analysts, and IT teamsParticipate in requirement gathering and change management processesProvide technical guidance and end-user supportDocumentation & Knowledge TransferMaintain detailed technical documentationDevelop user guides, FAQs, and training materialsConduct knowledge transfer sessions and cross-trainingDeliverables:Analysis & design documentationApplication enhancements and fixesTesting artifacts (test cases, results, QA validation)Knowledge transfer documentation and sessionsOngoing status reports and project documentationRequired Skills & Experience:MandatoryStrong experience as a Senior Application Developer / ProgrammerHands-on experience in:Application support & maintenanceDebugging and performance tuningFull SDLC (design, development, testing, deployment)Experience working on enterprise or data-intensive systemsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExcellent communication and documentation skillsPreferred:Experience in actuarial, financial, or pension systemsFamiliarity with:CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)Version control systems (e.g., Git)Experience in government or public sector environmentsV Group Inc. is a NJ-based IT Services and Products Company with its business strategically categorized in various Business Units including Public Sector, Enterprise Solutions, Professional Services, Ecommerce, Projects, and Products.
