Hi,Trust you are doing well!Please do share your resume if you are looking for this role.Job Title: Senior Python/QA EngineerJob Type: ContractLocation: Richardson, TXPosition OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Python/QA Engineer with strong experience in Python development, test automation, and quality engineering. The candidate will design and develop automated testing frameworks, validate applications and APIs, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks.Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and backend services.Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.Develop API automation using REST APIs, Postman, PyTest, or similar tools.Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work with developers to resolve defects.Perform manual testing when required and convert manual test cases into automation.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Work with developers, DevOps, and product teams throughout the SDLC.Perform test data setup, validation, and troubleshooting.Maintain test cases, automation scripts, test documentation, and defect reports.Participate in code reviews and ensure automation code follows quality and coding standards.Monitor test results and continuously improve test coverage and automation efficiency.Must-Have SkillsStrong Python programming experience.Strong experience with QA/Test Automation.Hands-on experience with PyTest / unittest or similar Python testing frameworks.Experience with API testing and automation.Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP.Experience with Selenium / Playwright or similar UI automation tools.Experience with SQL/database testing.Hands-on experience with Git.Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect management, and Agile/Scrum.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.Nice-to-Have SkillsDocker / Kubernetes.AWS or Azure cloud experience.Performance/load testing using JMeter, Locust, or similar tools.Experience with BDD/Cucumber.Experience testing microservices and distributed systems.Experience with Kafka or event-driven applications.Experience working with AI/ML applications or data platforms.
