Lead Software Engineer (AWS)

This is a full-time position; candidates must be in Austin, TX as this is a hybrid work environment (onsite Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, remote Thursday/Friday). Base salary range $130-145k (no flexibility); bonus, growth opportunities, excellent benefits! Lead Software Engineer (AWS) Domain: Financial Data & Analytics We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions supporting financial data and valuation processes. This role partners closely with product, analytics, and engineering teams to build secure, high-quality systems with a strong focus on data integrity. Key Responsibilities:Design and implement AWS-based, serverless/microservices solutionsCollaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverablesModernize and optimize existing systems and architectureDrive automation and AI-assisted development practicesTroubleshoot issues and support production systemsLead code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote best practicesEnsure strong testing, monitoring, and secure data handlingRequired Skills:Python expertiseAWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, messaging/event services)APIs, microservices/serverless architectureInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, etc.)CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, etc.)Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.)Git-based workflows and Agile methodologiesExperience with AI-assisted dev tools preferredQualifications:6–10 years of experienceBachelor’s degree or equivalentPreferred:Experience in regulated industries (finance, insurance, etc.)AWS certificationCore Skills:Strong communication and problem-solvingAbility to manage multiple prioritiesHigh attention to detail and data accuracy#TECHIND
