Our client prides themselves on providing an innovative work environment that is highly challenging and exceptionally rewarding.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulationsOversee internal controls, review risk indicators, and performing analysis and risk-based auditsDetermine internal audit scope and develop annual plansEvaluate and examine policies and procedures/systems in place at the corporate office and distribution centersDesign and develop controls/processes that mitigate and/or remediate gaps identifiedExamine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, fraud, or non-compliance with GAAP, laws, regulations, and management policiesDocument work performed and present findings identifiedConstantly challenge the status quo and look for ways to improve operational efficiencyFollow up on the progress of implementation of recommendations and directions to the management of the corporate office and business unit sitesPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance3 + years of Accounting, Finance, or Audit experienceInternal Audit experience in manufacturing/distribution preferredOperational audit experienceLean / Six Sigma process improvement a plusKnowledge of US GAAPMust have excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills and able to build and maintain strong relationshipsMust be detail-oriented and able to multitaskMust be a self-starter and result-orientedAvailable to travel up to 20-25% of the time (1 x month) within California or to neighboring statesCPA, CIA, or CISA preferredFORTIS Resource Partners provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
