*Job Overview* As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including meal preparation, staff supervision, and ensuring high-quality culinary offerings. *Duties* - Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively - Plan and create menus that meet quality standards - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards - Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques *Qualifications* - Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills - Understanding of food cost control and menu planning - Certification from a culinary school or relevant field is a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.63 - $19.34 per hour Shift: Day shift Evening shift Supplemental Pay: Overtime pay Experience: Kitchen management: 1 year (Required) Cost control: 1 year (Required) Leadership: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Gloucester, VA 23061 (Required) Work Location: In person
