Field Superintendent Day ShiftThe Field Superintendent Day Shift is responsible for the day-to-day oversight, coordination, and execution of construction activities at the Savannah River Site. This role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements, site regulations, and quality standards. The Superintendent serves as the primary field leader, driving schedule performance, workforce coordination, and execution excellence across all assigned scopes of work.Lead and manage daily field operations, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and federal site requirementsSupervise craft labor, subcontractors, and field personnel, providing direction, accountability, and support to achieve project objectivesCoordinate with Project Managers, Safety, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on execution plans and site prioritiesEnforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safety culture across the jobsiteMonitor project schedules, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain progressEnsure quality control standards are met through inspections, field verification, and coordination with QA/QC personnelManage material deliveries, equipment utilization, and site logistics to support efficient operationsSupport site documentation requirements, including daily reports, time tracking, and compliance documentationInterface with client representatives and site leadership to ensure clear communication and alignment on project executionWork a standard day shift schedule aligned with site operations, with flexibility to support extended hours as required by project demandsPerform additional duties as required to support project success and operational needsHigh school diploma or equivalent required 10+ years of experience in construction field supervision, preferably in federal, industrial, or heavy civil environmentsProven experience managing field operations, subcontractors, and craft labor on complex construction projectsExperience working at Department of Energy sites or similar secure federal facilities Background in industrial construction, infrastructure, or environmental projectsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferredAbility to obtain and maintain site access and required clearances at Savannah River Site OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certificationFirst Aid/CPR Certification Additional safety or construction certifications relevant to federal or industrial workDirect supervision of field personnel, subcontractors, and craft labor on assigned projectsTravels: Yes Percent of time: 10% Overnight required: YesIf one-third of the time "seldom" or "occasionally" If one-third to two-thirds of the time or more occasionally to frequently" If more than two-thirds of the time "constantly"Stationary Position - SeldomPushing/Pulling/Reaching - SeldomClimb - SeldomKneel - SeldomGrab - SeldomBend - SeldomLift/carry over - 10 - 30 LBSVision - 20/20 Corrected VisionHearing - Receive detailed information if spoken toWet or Humid - Seldom Working near or on moving mechanical parts - Seldom Working near or on heavy machinery - Seldom Working in high places - Seldom Exposed to fumes or airborne particles - Seldom Exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals - Seldom Frequency of working in outdoor weather conditions - Seldom Work with Electricity - Seldom Work with explosives - N/A Work on or near a source of radiation - N/A Loud noise conditions (above 87dB)- Seldom Other Environmental Factors including weather conditions______________________Note: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
