Dermatology Physician

Dermatologist opportunity in Lakewood Ranch, Florida Located 50mi from Tampa & 80mi from Ft. Myers 10 miles from the Coast Service Area: 400,000Position Details. Permanent position Surgical and/or cosmetics interest is a plus. The goal of this group is to develop a long-term relationship with right candidate. Compensation: Competitive compensation package with benefits. Guaranteed salary the first year. The candidate should expect to enter into a very busy practice on Day 1. Also great benefits package including malpractice, PTO, CME, etc. Currently, the group has 2 Lakewood Ranch locations and additional locations in Bradenton (approximately 30 minutes away) and in St. Petersburg (approximately 40 minutes away). In-house Mohs surgery with a brilliant surgeon who trained with Dr. Zitelli, who in turn trained directly under Dr. Mohs. The goal is to open additional clinical offices as we try to keep up with Lakewood Ranch's expansive growth. Schedule: Flexible. Will consider both FT and PT. Office hours are M-F, 8am-5pm. Strictly Outpatient. However, there is some travel between sites. Both Lakewood Ranch sites are within 8 minutes of each other. The group's downtown Bradenton location is 30 minutes from Lakewood Ranch. And the St. Pete site is 40-45 minutes away. Second-to-none operational infrastructure: the providers do their part ONLY. The MDs get 3 exam rooms with 3 medical assistants. Everyone on the team is trained to scribe, so the providers never touch the chart (until signing). The system is incredibly efficient and all the providers LOVE working in the system. It allows them to focus 100% of their attention on the patients, not on pushing paper. Vacation time: Negotiable, but most likely 2 weeks the first year Current group: world-class Mohs surgeon. Looking to pick up at least one MD/DO (likely more than that) and 7 Physician Assistants on staff. Physician Assistants: the group has worked with mid-levels for 15 years. Each of these professionals would have easily gone through medical school in a different world. They run fully independently and do not require much in terms of supervision. All providers are covered by a heavy ($3M/$5M) GROUP malpractice policy. Supervision of mid-levels is required; however, the amount of work required is virtually zero. PAs cover all the MD/DO call.
