This role assists others in the department in conducting technology evaluations, supporting pilot programs, and providing technical support for the firm's practice technology platforms. This position plays a vital role in expanding the use of innovative legal technologies to enhance lawyer efficiency and improve client service.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Support the evaluation, testing, and implementation of emerging legal technology platforms, including generative AI solutions and other practice innovationsHelp prepare and maintain training materials, user guides, and knowledge base articles for practice technology platformsProvide first-level technical support for practice technology platforms, troubleshooting issues and escalating complex problems when necessaryHelp monitor technology adoption rates and system usage, creating reports to identify opportunities for increased engagementMaintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and support proceduresAssist with user onboarding and basic training for practice technology solutionsStay informed about legal technology trends and developments through research and professional developmentParticipate in technology demonstrations and awareness sessions for practice groupsAssist with data gathering and analysis to support technology decision-makingMaintain communication with technology providers regarding support issues and feature requestsComply with department and firm administrative procedures and policiesPerform other work-related duties as assignedEssential CapabilitiesMust demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new skills and technologiesAble to interact effectively with all levels, including attorneys and senior staffGood oral and written communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical usersAbility to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detailStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to troubleshootingExcellent customer service orientation with a focus on user experienceAdaptable to changing priorities and emerging technologiesAbility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative teamDemonstrated initiative in identifying and resolving issues proactivelyQualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree required.A minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or legal technology environment preferred.Experience with legal software applications such as contract analysis tools or practice management platformsFamiliarity with GenAI legal technology platforms commonly used in law firmsUnderstanding of legal workflows and practice needsStrong technical aptitude with ability to learn new software quickly.Basic understanding of data analytics concepts is desirableCompensation And Total Rewards PackageRopes & Gray is proud to offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package to our business support team members. The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.Boston, Chicago, Washington, D.C., & Los Angeles: $88,600 - $135,100New York City: $96,600 - $147,300 Working Conditions This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
