AWS GovCloud Administrator – VDI & FileCloud

Contract: Through 6/30 w/possible extensionsLocation: Des Moines, IARate:$50-57p/hr.This role serves as the primary administrator for a secure AWS GovCloud environment, supporting critical platforms including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and FileCloud. The position is responsible for day?to?day cloud infrastructure operations, system administration, security, and user support to ensure stable, compliant, and highly available services.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support AWS GovCloud infrastructure hosting enterprise business applications Manage AWS-based VDI environments, including provisioning, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting Serve as primary FileCloud Administrator, supporting Linux and MongoDB environments, user onboarding, access, and issue resolution Monitor and maintain system security, compliance, and vulnerability remediation Perform on?call support, including nightly and weekend patching, upgrades, and incident response Provide clear status updates, documentation, and collaboration across technical teams Work independently while proactively learning new systems, processes, and business functions Required QualificationsExperience managing cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications Hands?on experience with AWS, including VDI workloads FileCloud administration experience supporting end users and resolving technical issues Strong knowledge of advanced system security practices and access controls Experience in enterprise systems administration (server and/or client environments) Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems, including connectivity and performance issues Experience with deployment automation tools and infrastructure monitoring Strong verbal and written communication skills Technical SkillsAWS, AWS GovCloud, VDI, FileCloud Linux, Windows, CLI MongoDB, VM infrastructure Cloud performance tuning and optimization Networking, storage, hardware, and systems administration Application knowledge of Java, .NET, and IT security concepts Project management planning and managing scope, product ownership, portfolio management Preferred ExperienceCloud adoption and migration initiatives (readiness assessments, prototyping, server builds, data migration) Designing and implementing distributed cloud architectures Experience with additional cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Providing technical strategy and guidance for enterprise cloud adoption #INDTSPeoplelink LLC, a leader in the staffing industry for the past 33 years, continues our vision of ‘linking’ communities through employment.
