Architectural Solutions Project Designer
Location: Birmingham, AL 35233Pay: Competitive Base Salary + Bonus PotentialOur client in the architectural solutions industry is seeking an Architectural Solutions Project Designer to deliver high-quality, client-facing design solutions that align with project scope, budget, and timeline requirements. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented design professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to both design execution and cross-functional project delivery.The Architectural Solutions Project Designer will be responsible for producing accurate and efficient design work while coordinating closely with internal teams, clients, and project stakeholders. This individual will ensure design integrity from concept through installation while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction, technical accuracy, and schedule adherence. This role also offers the opportunity to cross-train in project management and grow within a dynamic architectural solutions environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage adherence to project schedules, internal budgets, client budgets, design task completion, and overall design quality standards. Ensure accurate and complete transmission of project planning data to order entry and support project management activities as needed. Interpret and apply local building codes, ADA regulations, and National Electrical Code requirements in design development. Understand architectural product systems, including order preparation, project coordination, order management, delivery, and installation processes. Manage design revisions and project changes while maintaining awareness of cost impacts and project constraints. Demonstrate strong leadership skills including meeting facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution, and prioritization. Develop and execute drawings, layouts, and pricing using DIRTT ICE software. Support architectural construction detailing and coordination with MEP consultants and other design professionals. Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, and vendors throughout the design and project lifecycle. Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success and team objectives. QualificationsBachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, or Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field required. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Procore required. Experience with design-build processes and offsite construction methodologies required. Strong understanding of construction documents and architectural detailing required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience with DIRTT ICE or similar prefab design software preferred. Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a team environment. Proven ability to work in a client-facing design role with a strong service mindset.
