Join us in driving growth and seizing new business opportunities. Background This Task Order is in reference to a Client software solution that will be referred to as The Solution. The Solution is an Oracle-based solution. The Solution processes and maintains critical work in Montgomery County. The Solution supports internal Montgomery County Departments, and Department external to Client. The Solution was implemented in 2011 and except for planned outages, runs 24x7x365. The structure of The Solution is complex and now outdated in some areas and requires a re-platforming of the three different subsystems, The Identity (Oracle Internet Director/OID), Middleware (Oracle Application Server/WebLogic) and the UI/runtime (Oracle Forms). The Solution is a dedicated host/development environment Role and Responsibilities This Task Order seeks a consultant to complete re-platforming work that has been started. The current subsystem versions are as follows: Lead and support upgrade efforts across The Solution’s Oracle ecosystem, including Oracle Database (12c 19c), OID, Oracle Application Server/WebLogic (10g 12.2.1.4), Oracle Forms (10g 12c), and Oracle Reports (10g 12c). Modernize the UI by eliminating Java applet dependencies and removing JDK version constraints. Re-sign approximately 10 legacy JAR files using the Montgomery County government (MCGOV) certificate. Provide hands-on expertise with Oracle DB versions 11g, 12c, and 19c; Oracle Middleware (OAS/OID) 10g/12c; WebLogic 11/12; and Oracle Forms/Reports administration and upgrades. Utilize strong Linux (CentOS/RHEL) and shell scripting skills to support system re-platforming and environment optimization. Assist in the transition of legacy authentication from a custom Java-based AccessMCG SSO to an Oracle SSO solution integrated with Microsoft Entra ID. Minimum Qualification Extensive work and knowledge of Oracle DB versions 11, 12c, and 19c Extensive work and knowledge of Oracle Middleware (OAS, OID) V. 10g and 12c Extensive work and knowledge of WebLogic v. 11/12 Extensive work and knowledge of Oracle Forms/Oracle Reports 10g, 12c upgrade Extensive work and knowledge of Linux, shell scripts Work and knowledge of Oracle Single Sign On Collaborate with requirements analysts, designers and backend developers for cohesive solutions. Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality and security standards.
