Senior Software Engineer – Python/Elasticsearch

Role-Data EngineerLocation: Irving, TX — 3 days onsite per week.Mode- w2Required Qualifications & Skills7+ years of software engineering/data engineering experience.Strong Python development experience, especially backend services and scalable applications.Strong hands-on Elasticsearch experience in production environments — mandatory.Experience designing Elasticsearch indexes, mappings, queries, aggregations, and search relevance.Proven experience building REST APIs for enterprise applications.Strong experience with Databricks and large-scale data platforms.Experience building high-throughput data ingestion and indexing pipelines.Hands-on experience with Kafka and/or Azure Event Hub.Experience developing and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure.Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture.Experience with CI/CD, automated deployments, Git, and DevOps practices.Experience troubleshooting production systems, API performance, Elasticsearch performance, and scalability issues.Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, and application health.Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineering, architecture, product, and data teams.Targeting Criteria / Must-Have KeywordsPython | Elasticsearch | REST API | Databricks | Kafka | Azure Event Hub | Microsoft Azure | Microservices | Distributed Systems | CI/CD | Data Pipelines | Event-Driven Architecture
