Senior DevOps Engineer
Overview:
As Prelim's first dedicated DevOps hire, you own infrastructure end-to-end to keep bank onboarding fast, secure, and reliable. You'll design repeatable build-test-deploy pipelines, drive uptime targets, and mature incident response. You'll partner with security to meet SOC 2 and due-diligence requirements while controlling cloud spend. This is a chance to shape the platform that underpins regulatory fintech success and scale with the company. Responsibilities:
- Own the build, test, and deploy pipeline to enable fast, safe shipping
- Make infrastructure fully reproducible via code and versioning
- Define and hit uptime targets required by bank customers
- Build out monitoring, alerting, and incident response; evolve on-call practices
- Collaborate with security on SOC 2 and bank due-diligence requirements
- Own cloud cost management and optimize spend
- Enable reliable, multi-tenant SaaS in a regulated environment
- Document and automate processes to minimize manual work and errors
Key requirements:
- 5+ years in DevOps / SRE / platform engineering
- Deep fluency with AWS and infrastructure-as-code in production
- Built CI/CD pipelines that teams loved
- Strong observability mindset with defined SLOs and incident processes
- Comfort with regulatory/compliance-heavy environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Automation-first approach and good documentation
