Python AI Engineer
Job Description
Summary:
Our Client is looking for a Python AI Engineer with 6+ years of professional software engineering experience and strong expertise in Python, distributed systems, microservices, and AI/LLM applications. The ideal candidate will build scalable backend services, integrate AI capabilities and tool-based interfaces, and develop production-ready solutions using modern cloud-native technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python expertise.
- Proven experience designing and operating microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience building MCP servers, AI service integrations, or tool-based interfaces for LLM applications.
- Proficiency with modern Python frameworks such as FastAPI.Strong understanding of scalable architecture, asynchronous processing, caching, messaging, and fault-tolerant design.
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, Git, automated testing, and CI/CD.Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and production troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with LLM applications, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Exposure to technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Airflow, MLflow, Kubeflow, or Argo Workflows.
- Preferred Qualification:
- Experience developing agentic AI and tool-calling workflows.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, LlamaIndex, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-native AI services and managed vector/search platforms.
- Knowledge of distributed system patterns, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging.
