Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:15 AM to 6:45 PM • Must be highly proficient in ophthalmology (adult & pediatric), pediatric orthopedics, pediatric general, and pediatric ENT procedures • Minimum 3 years circulator experience required • EPIC experience required • On-call requirement included • Unit does not accept first-time travelers • Travel experience required • Must have 2 years experience in specialty (3 years for this New Orleans OR position) • 36 hours of orientation provided • Care for patients across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Required certifications: BLS (AHA) • Skills include circulating and conscious sedation • Louisiana or compact nursing license required upon submittal • NURSYS reports must be current within 4 weeks of submission • Must live over 65 miles from facility (local travelers not accepted) • No call-ins permitted - strict attendance policy • May be assigned to emergency team during weather events or emergencies with expectation to stay until event passes Facility: This major medical center operates as a comprehensive healthcare system providing advanced surgical services including specialized pediatric and adult procedures.
