Office Manager/Bookkeeper

A leading national construction firm is seeking a Office Manager/Bookkeeper to join their team in their Franklin, Tennessee office. This in-person position offers a salary range of $68,000–$70,000 and blends traditional accounting responsibilities with a significant amount of administrative and project coordination support. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, communication, and follow-through are essential. This role partners closely with both project management and accounting teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and smooth execution of project-related billing and administrative workflows. Benefits include a 401(k), Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Health, Dental, Life, and Vision insurance, performance-based annual bonus, career development and educational reimbursement, as well as vacation and generous sick time.Key Responsibilities of the Office Manager/Bookkeeper:Prepare and manage owner pay applications, ensuring accuracy of schedules of values, billing adjustments, and supporting documentationCoordinate subcontractor invoicing, approvals, and payment workflows in collaboration with project managers and accounting teamsOversee compliance documentation including lien waivers, insurance certificates, sworn statements, and tax exemption formsSupport the setup and maintenance of project billing systems, including scheduling of values and subcontractor onboarding processesTrack and process invoices, expenses, and job cost items while ensuring alignment with project budgetsAssist with monthly billing cycles, reconciliations, and financial reporting across active projectsManage stored and tax-exempt material documentation, ensuring all required records are accurate and complete prior to billingProvide general administrative and project support, including coordination with internal teams and occasional office support tasksQualifications of the Office Manager/Bookkeeper:3+ years of experience in construction accounting, project accounting, or job cost accountingStrong understanding of subcontractor billing, pay applications, and construction project financial workflowsExperience managing compliance documentation such as lien waivers, insurance, and contract requirementsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlinesComfortable balancing accounting responsibilities with administrative and coordination tasksProficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction accounting systems preferredStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teamsAbility to work independently while maintaining accuracy and accountability in a fast-paced environmentP-16
