Each satellite can connect over two million people, and we’re very excited for the impact we’ll soon have in the Philippines, Mexico, and more!Backed by substantial funding and a passionate, collaborative team, we offer a rewarding work environment where you'll learn and make a significant impact, no matter where you are in your career.Senior DevOps EngineerAs a Senior DevOps engineer, you will be an early contributor to the growing infrastructure team to support a rapidly expanding fleet of satellites.Speed and reliability aren’t luxuries here; they’re lifelines. When a satellite is orbiting thousands of miles above Earth, minutes matter. Our developers need to iterate and deploy rapidly to fix mission-critical issues and push improvements that keep spacecraft healthy and missions on track. You’ll be the one making sure our CI pipelines aren’t just efficient, but blazing fast, so our engineers can respond to the unexpected in real time. You’ll own every aspect of the development workflow including AI assistant tools, language upgrades, build systems, pre-commit checks, and emerging projects to help unlock developer velocity.If you’re excited by the idea of supporting spacecraft with infrastructure that’s as mission-critical as the satellites themselves, this is your launchpad.This role supports both commercial and U.S. Government programs.RoleMaintain and streamline a CI pipeline integrating with a mix of real and simulated hardwareIntroduce and optimize build tools and workflows to accelerate developmentAutomate release, deployment, and monitoring tooling for development and production systemsImplement and own the proliferation of metrics and performance tracking in development, CI, production, and mission contextsLead initiatives that improve developer productivity and developer experienceRequirements6+ years experience in Infrastructure and DevOps engineeringBachelor of Science in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology)Proficiency with Python or other scripting languageExperience with scaling build systems such as, but not limited to: Bazel, CMake, or PantsStrong Experience with LinuxExperience working with CI tools such as Gitlab, Github, Jenkins, Tekton or othersStrong written and oral communication skillsHighly motivated, self-starting, and able to perform duties autonomously without much supervisionBonusBazel build systemCode coverage reportingAI tooling for developersRemote development environmentsFlaky test management and infrastructureWhat we offer:All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.Base pay is a single component of Astranis's total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, high quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(K) retirement, and free on-site catered meals.Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources.
