Offices in Troy, Ann Arbor and Detroit.Position SummaryTEC is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Geologist with 2–5 years of experience to support environmental, due diligence and site investigation projects throughout Michigan. This is a hands-on, field/office hybrid position suited for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on active job sites and detailed research and reporting.What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Company support for training and certificationsRequirementsResponsibilities: Perform site investigations (soil, groundwater, soil gas, indoor air) Complete site visits and reporting for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments Complete site investigations and reporting for Phase II Environmental Site Assessments Complete Due Care Plans/Evaluations and Documentation of Due Care Compliance Complete Baseline Environmental Assessments Complete daily field documentation, logs, and sample tracking Assist with report preparation and data entry Calibrate and maintain field equipment Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients in the field Follow all TEC safety procedures and applicable OSHA/MIOSHA regulations Travel to job sites across Michigan (some early mornings and variable hours expected)Qualifications 2–5 years of relevant field experience in environmental consulting Environmental Professional Knowledge of environmental/state regulations and field sampling methods Knowledge of Due Diligence reporting requirements / compliance documentation Strong attention to detail and ability to complete accurate field documentation Good communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving recordPreferred (Not Required) 40-hour HAZWOPER (current) Additional certifications/experience (Asbestos, Lead, Mold, Radon, etc.) Compliance experience, Storm water / Industrial / SPCC / Permitting Brownfield RedevelopmentPhysical Requirements Ability to perform field work in active construction and industrial environments Ability to wear respirators and PPE as required Ability to climb ladders, access tight spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs
