*Confidential (Food & Beverage) ClientSummaryThe Director of Technical Services is responsible for the leadership, management, and execution of all engineering, maintenance, and capital project activities across the organization’s manufacturing operations. The role is accountable for ensuring that all plant systems, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are effectively designed, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective production.This position leads the development and execution of technical strategies, including preventative maintenance programs, capital investment planning, and system optimization initiatives. The Director works closely with operations, quality, and senior leadership to ensure production assets meet performance, capacity, and compliance requirements across multiple facilities. ResponsibilitiesLead and manage engineering, maintenance, and technical services teams across multiple manufacturing locationsDevelop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliabilityPlan, budget, and execute capital projects including equipment installation, plant expansion, and system upgradesOversee plant systems including utilities, processing equipment, and packaging systemsDrive improvements in production capacity, equipment uptime, and overall plant efficiencyIdentify and implement new technologies, automation, and system improvementsManage external contractors, vendors, and engineering partnersEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (SQF, FSSC, OSHA, etc.)Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for performance improvementCollaborate with operations leadership to support production goals and long-term growth initiativesQualifications Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United StatesBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field) requiredMinimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, technical services, or plant operationsMinimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a multi-site or complex manufacturing environmentExperience in food, beverage, chemical, or process manufacturing strongly preferredStrong knowledge of plant systems, utilities, and equipment including pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and processing systemsExperience with PLC systems, automation, and process control environmentsKnowledge of CIP systems, sanitation processes, and food safety standardsExperience with capital project management and equipment installationUnderstanding of water treatment systems and processing technologiesStrong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationIET, Inc. does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing firms, search firms or employment agencies.
