Scribe (Per Diem)- Orthopaedic Surgery

DescriptionWe are seeking to hire a per diem Scribe to assist the Orthopaedic Surgery Physicians. You will provide various administrative assistance of patient care in our Orthopaedic Clinics in Westwood, Santa Monica, and South Bay. Primary duties include:Updating patients medical record on Care ConnectFollowing up on laboratory and x-ray resultsAssisting in patient admissions, transfer or dischargesAssisting in chart auditing (ensuring completeness and maintaining/updating work queue log)Assisting with patient flow by checking on results of diagnostic studies, arranging dispositions, etc.Other duties as assigned May convert to career role. Salary range: $24.86/hr QualificationsBachelors degree (preferred)Knowledge of medical terminologyPrevious Scribe experience (preferred)Ability to distinguish different exams and medical diagnosisAbility to handle confidential materialAbility to organize and track multiple records and requestsStrong interpersonal skillsKnowledge and skill using various computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and basic database softwareKnowledge of E&M codesAbility to proofread detailed materialAbility to speak clearly and distinctly to obtain and convey informationAbility to work flexible schedule which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
