Maintenance Technician - Haskell, TX

Maintenance TechnicianAMERI-CANS is looking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician at our new location in Haskell, TX. This is a critical role supporting the setup and ongoing operations of our latest branch site. The Maintenance Technician will be hands-on with restroom trailers, sea-can restroom units, pumps, HVAC, and electrical systems. This role is crucial in ensuring uptime, troubleshooting field issues, training junior staff, and developing reliable systems that meet the high standards of our clients.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Perform routine and emergency repairs on restroom trailers, sea-can units, and related equipmentInstall, service, and troubleshoot plumbing systems, freshwater/waste pumps, valves, and hosesConduct preventative maintenance on HVAC units, water heaters, and electrical systems in trailersFabricate or repair using welding, carpentry, and minor engine repair as neededDeploy on field calls for urgent repairs to keep units operationalSupport site setup with tool cage, shelving, washer/dryer installs, and spare parts stagingMaintain and organize tools, shop equipment, and service parts inventoryOperate equipment, including skid steer, forklift, telehandler, and non-CDL trucks (standard shift)Mentor and partner with an Assistant Maintenance Technician to ensure redundancy and team coverageMaintain accurate repair logs and communicate with the operations team to schedule downtime and repairsRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentMechanical aptitude across plumbing, electrical (AC/DC), HVAC, and carpentryWelding and fabrication experience preferredSmall engine repair/general mechanic skills requiredEquipment operation experience, including skid steer, forklift, and non-CDL trucksFamiliarity with water pumps, hoses, and cam-lock fittingPreventive automotive maintenance and diagnostics skillsWillingness to work in a remote environment and adapt to evolving site requirementsMust pass background check; U.S. citizenship required for some client sitesAbilities:Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, bend, twist, reach, stoop, and crouchPerform essential duties with minimal or no supervisionLift and carry up to 50 lbs and drag 185 lbsComfortable working in outdoor and warehouse environments in Texas conditionsJob Type: Full-timeCompetitive Benefits:Benefits include medical, dental, and visionCompany-matched 401kCompany paid STD & Accident supplementalCompany paid Life AD&D InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off (PTO) (10 days)Paid Sick Time (4 days)Personal Days (4 days)11 Paid Federal HolidaysUnlimited growth potential as we take the business to the next levelProfessional development and training with senior maintenance staffEEOC Disclaimer:AMERI-CANS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
