Production Shift Lead

As a Shift Lead in our Snacks Department you will support the Team Leader in producing rice cakes that meet Lundberg Family Farms standards. This role involves effective communication with supervisors, the Assistant Production Manager, and other departments like Warehousing and Mill. The Shift Lead also guides team members to achieve production goals, solve problems, and enhance systems for efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Communication: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Cover for the Rice Cakes Team Lead during meetings or other absences. Lead Pre-Shift meetings to discuss schedules, KPIs, and safety updates. Assist in supervising and evaluating staff performance, including participating in hiring and disciplinary actions. Operate a forklift as needed to ensure materials and equipment are ready for production. Production & Quality Control: Maintain knowledge of all processes and equipment, ensuring proper repair and maintenance. Oversee sanitation of operating systems and food contact surfaces. Monitor product flow from mixing to packaging, maintaining quality standards. Use computerized inventory systems and Quality Data systems to ensure accurate data entry. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) guidelines. Verify allergen segregation and change-over processes. Minimally 1 year of food production experience. Prior supervisory experience Forklift experience. Valid CA driver’s license (or state of residence) and ability to meet insurability standards. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
