A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 40 guaranteed hours per week • 24 hours of call per 6-week schedule period as needed • Patient ratio of 1:2 • Work primarily rotating between PACU and pre/post interventional radiology area within PACU unit • Float within service line to meet facility needs • Must pass Relias EKG exam with interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, Vents, IV start, Telemetry • Minimum 1 year of experience required, first-timers accepted • PACU and critical care experience required • Epic charting system experience required • Level I Trauma Center experience required, Level II Trauma experience preferred • Must be proficient in managing complicated postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia • Care for patients with GU, GYN, Colorectal, minimally invasive procedures, Bariatric, and some ENT surgeries • Navy scrubs required • No more than 7 days RTO per contract • Every other weekend required • Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility Facility: This is a Level I Trauma Center short-term acute care teaching hospital with 1,266 staffed beds. The facility features a comprehensive PACU unit in Parkview Tower that manages complex postoperative patients from various surgical specialties. The hospital provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams.
